We want to be your firewood company, not just a one time sale. We offer firewood for all types of wood burning. For indoor burning, our wood is more manicured, smaller, and contains the majority of hardwood, with the rest being kindling. For outdoor firewood (pit fires), we give the wood based on the size of your pit, offering everything from small pieces to 3 foot+ in length (or small logs). The majority of our woods are hardwoods (oak, maple, poplar). While the majority of our wood is oak, it is often thought that it is necessary to season oak a year or more (personal tip: the oak in the beginning of winter is usually more dry than the wood when it gets very cold, so buy your wood earlier rather than later in the season). While we allow our oak to dry before we sell it, we also like to mix in other, faster drying hardwoods to ensure a proper fire. We also recommend old pine, because, in the over 50 years of heating our homes with wood, we have always kept a supply of pine as a starting wood. It also burns out cleanly at the end of the fire, along with burning quick and hot. For outdoor fire pits, we recommend lots of pine because it is an easy wood to burn, giving lots of control over the fire. We offer both pickup and delivery. by the truck/car load, half cord, and cord to the 757. When we deliver, we always add a little extra to ensure satisfaction.
